VvKR Membership
The conditions of the VvKR (Association of Small-scale Travel Organizations) apply to all agreements.

VZR-Garant Membership
In order to comply with the legally required guarantee, Jouw Afrika reis uses the VZR Garant guarantee scheme (www.vzr-garant.nl). You can check this via the participants page of the VZR Garant website. Within the limits of the Guarantee Scheme (can be found on the VZR Garant website), the VZR Garant guarantee applies. In the Guarantee Scheme you can read exactly which (travel) offer the VZR Garant guarantee applies to and what this guarantee entails. If services are not provided due to financial inability of Jouw Afrika Reis, you can contact VZR Garant, located at Torenallee 20, 5617 BC in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, via info@vzr-garant.nl or +31 (0)85 13 07 630.

Information on the website (and other expressions)
The prices on the website are stated in Euro (unless otherwise stated). If the exchange rate changes, we reserve the right to adjust the prices and send you an adjusted invoice up to 6 weeks before departure. Tessa goes global reserves the right to pass on these costs.

All information and prices on this website, in our advertisements and in all other expressions have been compiled with the utmost care. However, incorrect information may still occur. Tessa goes global, as well as its affiliated companies and suppliers, are not liable for damage resulting from inaccuracies, problems caused by, or inherent to the distribution of information via the internet, as well as technical malfunctions. All flight and travel information is subject to interim changes. Obvious errors and commissions do not bind us.
Every trip booked by Tessa goes global is personal, so the prices on the website are not fixed prices.

Booking process
The booking is made after the traveler accepts (this can be done by telephone or by e-mail) the offer proposed by us. After you have agreed to book the trip with us, you will receive an online booking form. You must sign this form. After we have received the signed booking form, you will receive an online confirmation. If you have signed the booking form, you are bound to the booking.
You are not obliged to send a copy of your passport. You have the right to provide us with only the necessary information. However, if you provide your passport details incorrectly or unclearly, all additional costs will be for your own account (for example: the ticket has already been printed but you have provided us with a nickname instead of a passport name). The name on the ticket must then be adjusted at an additional cost.

Main booker
If you book a trip with multiple people at the same time, the address of the main booker will serve as the correspondence address, and they will also receive the booking confirmation and the invoice. The main booker is liable for the full payment as well as for providing the travel information to the fellow travelers.

Payment of the trip
The deposit is 25% of the travel sum plus the full amount of any airline tickets. The deposit must be received within 14 days of booking.
The remainder of the travel sum must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of the trip. If booking is made within 6 weeks before the start of the trip, the full travel sum must be paid immediately after booking. In any case, the entire payment must be received before the start of the trip. If the traveller does not pay within the agreed term, the traveller is in default without further notice of default being required and the statutory interest is due on the outstanding amount.
The traveller must pay extrajudicial collection costs if he has not paid within the final payment term set by means of a written reminder. The extrajudicial collection costs amount to: 15% of the amount claimed up to €2,500, 10% on the subsequent €2,500, 5% on the subsequent €5,000 and 1% on the excess. As long as the traveller has not paid, Jouw Afrika Reis can keep the travel documents. If payment is not made even after a reminder or if payment has not been made before the start of the trip, Jouw Afrika Reis can exclude the traveller from participation. The obligation to pay remains. Instead of excluding the traveller from participation, Jouw Afrika Reis can cancel the agreement and charge the cancellation costs due for this as determined to the traveller.

Changes
For changes after booking, we charge you € 17.50 administration costs per person + any additional costs resulting from the change.

Travel Conditions: Responsibility for Additional Accommodation Costs in the Event of Flight Changes

If you choose to combine your flight trip with a bus trip in Africa, we would like to point out that any changes to flight schedules that result in an extended stay (such as an extra overnight stay) are entirely at your own expense. We, as a travel organization, are not responsible for such additional costs. It is therefore important to take this into account when planning your trip and your connecting transport.

We also advise you to take out travel insurance that covers such unforeseen costs.

Cancellation Conditions
Tessa goes global uses the VvKR travel conditions. The deposit is 25% of the total travel sum + any costs for cancellation insurance. If this percentage is deviated from, you will be informed. For bookings from 1 January 2019, the following cancellation conditions apply: If you have booked a trip with Tessa goes global, the following amounts are due in the event of cancellation by the traveller:
Cancellation up to 56 days before the day of departure: 25% of the total travel sum

Cancellation from 21 days up to 14 days before the day of departure: 75% of the total travel sum
Cancellation from 14 days before departure: the full travel sum
If travel and/or cancellation conditions deviate from the standard conditions mentioned above, this will be stated with the relevant trip. When renting a car only, the following conditions apply:
Cancellation up to 60 days before the day of departure: 25% of the total travel sum
Cancellation from 60 days to 30 days before the day of departure: 55% of the total travel sum
Cancellation from 30 days before departure: the full travel sum

Insurance
We always recommend taking out travel and cancellation insurance (must be taken out within 6 days of the invoice date). We are happy to take out these insurances for you. Our insurance agent Allianz Global Assistance offers various options for this. Make sure that you are also properly insured for activities. Inquire about the options when you book.

Programme cancelled
Although it rarely happens, it can happen that part of a program cannot go ahead. We will do everything we can to find a suitable solution together with you, but cannot be held responsible.

Travel documents
As a traveler, you are responsible for having valid travel documents upon departure and during the trip. You must also inform yourself about the most up-to-date requirements regarding your travel documents. You must have a valid return ticket and have sufficient financial resources to support yourself and your fellow travelers during your stay. If you do not have Dutch nationality, you may have to meet different requirements. We advise you to inquire about this at the relevant embassy.

Price changes
Your Africa Travel (Tessa goes global) can increase the travel price up to 20 days before the start of the trip as a result of price changes in:
– Costs of fuel or other energy sources, or;
– Taxes or fees from third parties not directly involved in the execution of the trip, or;
– Changes in exchange rates*
*If 1 euro is worth less than R 17.-*If 1 euro is worth less than $ 1.-
If the price increase amounts to more than 8% of the travel price, the traveler can terminate the agreement and the traveler will receive the paid travel price back.
If the right to a price increase has been agreed, the traveler has a corresponding right to a price reduction. An administration fee of 30 euros will be deducted from the amount that the traveler is entitled to.
